Spooky season is almost here so that means Halloween-themed everything: in-store displays, playlists, and of course, blog posts.

So, of course, I have to jump on the spooky train. But actually, this is about something that isn't scary: digital. Okay, episodes of Black Mirror aside, what I mean is digital marketing isn't scary. At least not if you have a clear idea of who you are, what you do, and who your products/services serve.

"Umm, but what about all that stuff I have no clue about? Like SEO, pixels, ChatGPT?!?!" Calm down, dear reader. There are TONS of FREE (or very inexpensive) resources available to help you understand and implement all these "scary" tactics. This blog is one *wink*

"Well, I'm kinda busy running a business here."

Heard. Then it may be time to invest in a digital marketing strategist. Outsourcing your marketing efforts lets you and your employees get back to work. Period. It takes away the headaches of coming up with the ideas, doing the research, creating the ads, setting the bids, and collecting, optimizing, and analyzing the data.

Because that's the bare minimum of what any good digital marketing expert does. They also know when and how to integrate traditional media, email, events, etc. into your marketing mix. They help your brand for the long term, not just the length of the campaign. And they welcome your input but know when to push because no amount of advertising can make up for a bad user experience.

Research suggests the average person may be exposed to as many as 10,000 ads per day.

Bottom line: you can't just expect people to find you; you have to go find them. And you have to have something that stands out and cuts through the thousands of other ads competing for their attention. Doing that takes time, effort, and planning. If that seems scary, let a digital marketing expert help.
